So you have some new connections on LinkedIn…congratulations.
What now? Or rather, what next?
Making new connections via LinkedIn is great…but it is better if you can take those new connections and turn them into meaningful engagement and conversation. It is a business-to-business platform after all, isn’t it?
All too often though professionals connect and then both parties wonder what to do next, so nothing happens…and the new connection basically leads nowhere. Or worse; one of them moves immediately into blatant sales mode and tries to flog something to someone they have just “met”….that is just about guaranteed to kill the opportunity to build a good business relationship.
There is a logical way to begin talking with new connections without moving into “salesperson” mode, and in a way that invites genuine engagement and opportunities.
