Using LinkedIn To Get Business: When Is It Time To Go To The Premium Version?

LinkedIn is basically a business-to-business networking tool, but the challenge is knowing when you should be using Linkedin to get business.  The free version is fine for establishing a profile, but the question then becomes “How do you know when it is time – or worth your while – to upgrade from the free version of LinkedIn to the paid version?


The answer is: “Go pro when you are ready to get serious with your prospecting”.


Everyone starting out with using Linkedin needs to go through the process of setting up their own profile, and then enhancing it and optimising it for search to begin with. Then we go through the process of beginning to build a network of connections and interests, and companies we follow.


There is a bit of work (and time) involved in getting to the stage where you have an effective professional network and you are looking good (so to speak!).  Through all of this part of the process the free version will work well for enough.  So “free is fine while figuring it out”.
