There are a number of potential reasons why referrals, or good prospects from any source, decide not to choose to work with an adviser. Some recent research highlights that more often than not it comes down to “we look bad online” though.
One of the real areas of opportunity for professionals to look better online, and therefore increase the chances of prospects choosing to work with you, is to showcase your work and your thinking. Deliver a bit of value before you ask prospects to commit to choosing you.
Before considering how to showcase your work for clients though, you do have to get some basics right if your online presence is going to help them find and choose you.
