Sharing great content on LinkedIn certainly helps in building a professional profile and to showcase your areas of expertise, and it is a very simple thing to do.
Most LinkedIn users who have done more than set up their basic profile have figured out how to share someone elses update that they liked, and most have seen the “share an update” prompter on their homefeed. It is therefore a little surprising to me to be regularly asked about how to share “cool” updates like video’s or powerpoints or graphics and charts. The reason why it is remarkable is because there really is nothing much to it….but a lot of inexperienced LinkedIn users are perhaps a little worried about making a mistake when doing so and looking a little foolish, so they don’t try it.
Sharing multimedia content tends to be far more eye-catching and often far more engaging, so it is well and truly worthwhile. After all, the first requirement of marketing is that you are able to get the attention of your audience, right?
So this weeks quick tip is a pretty simple one, but one which is a genuine FAQ. If you are a little unsure or just not quite confident in how to share content like video’s on LinkedIn then check out the video where I step you through exactly how to do it…
