It is tough to get clients and prospects to follow our advice a lot of the time, and it makes a huge difference if we can figure out how to be more effective when giving recommendations. More people will follow our advice, we help more people get the outcomes they are looking for, and business is better for everyone.
We can be a lot more effective if we put the process on the back-burner….which doesn’t mean ignore it or forget about it. Our process from a compliance or best practice perspective matters and it is not to be overlooked, but it should not get in the way of helping consumers buy products or engage with advice in the way they choose to either.
