3 Reasons Why Professionals Should Be Using Twitter

It seems to be one of the least understood social media channels in the professional services world, and barely (or poorly?) used by many.

For any professional looking to build an audience and a personal brand centred on being an authority, or expert, in a particular area it is a “must use” I believe.

That is only true of course for those professionals who are still trying to get clients and grow their business.  If you are at the top of your game and have more business enquiries than you can handle, then you quite possibly don’t need to consider using it.

There are 3 compelling reasons why Twitter works for any professional who is still in growth mode and who gets to grip with it and uses it well.  In this quick video I cover the 3 big reasons why professionals should be using Twitter to help grow their business…

  • ………….”And be sure to follow us on Twitter”

I’ve walked through the biggest chain stores in my home town of NYC and every so often, in the overhead announcements they’ll mention the latest sales. Every message ALWAYS ends with “and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter”.

These are multi-billion dollar firms. Everyone knows them. They DON’T need followers on Twitter, BUT……….. they are constantly saying “Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook”

Different industry Tony, but same principle. Twitter works even for the billion dollar firms. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    Cheers!
